Understanding the Problem
Fact-checking in fields like science, healthcare, and journalism is often inefficient and overwhelming. Content creators struggle to verify information quickly, which can result in errors and misinformation. FactWics was created to solve this issue by automating and simplifying the process using artificial intelligence.
Our Role in the Project
We led both the design and development of the platform. Starting with foundational UX research and ending with full deployment, we handled every step of the process. Our aim was to create a tool that simplifies complex tasks for users and presents information in a trustworthy and accessible way. The platform is now functional across all devices, providing seamless experiences for desktop and mobile users.
The Design Process
The design process for FactWics began with in-depth research to understand the needs of content creators working in healthcare, science, and other knowledge-heavy fields. We mapped user journeys, defined key pain points, and created user flows that would guide the platform’s structure. Wireframes were developed to establish a clear navigation system, ensuring users could easily access the AI tools for content verification and data generation.
Once the structure was set, we moved into prototyping and UI design. We focused on clarity, accessibility, and responsiveness, building a consistent design language using DM Serif Display and a modern, trustworthy color palette. Interactive prototypes were tested with users to validate usability. Final refinements were made through multiple testing rounds, helping us deliver a polished and reliable experience across both desktop and mobile platforms.
